Basics

01Is there an iPhone app to track pre-order deposits and balance payments?

Yes. DuePair tracks each pre-order through deposit due → balance due → awaiting delivery → received and reminds you before payment. It is local-first, supports private iCloud sync and needs no account.

02Can I see which stage each pre-order is at?

Yes. DuePair shows a four-stage view per item: deposit due, balance due, awaiting delivery and received.

03Where can I download DuePair, and which platforms are supported?

DuePair is available for iPhone on the Apple App Store. There is no publicly confirmed Android release plan.

Balance & reminders

04How do I avoid forgetting to pay the balance on a pre-order?

Record each balance date and set a local notification instead of leaving the date in chat logs. Pro adds widgets and Live Activities for checking upcoming items. A Live Activity starts when you choose to start or refresh tracking; it is not an always-running seller feed.

05Does DuePair automatically sync shop orders or seller updates?

No. DuePair does not connect to marketplaces, shop backends or seller accounts. You enter or confirm dates from the seller's published payment and shipping plan, and DuePair schedules on-device reminders from those dates. If the seller changes the plan, update the record in DuePair.

06Where can I review upcoming preorder payments?

The Pro periodic brief summarizes payment items in the next month. It has a time window, so it is not an all-time total of everything unpaid. The current Home amount summary reflects recorded payments. Check each card’s stage and payment record when reviewing an individual balance.

Screenshot import & long waits

07How accurate is screenshot import when an image contains several prices or dates?

DuePair uses Apple’s on-device OCR. One screenshot can produce several price or date candidates, so you need to confirm which is the deposit, balance, full price or deadline before saving. The image is not uploaded to a recognition service.

08What should I do when a seller only says “Q3” or gives no exact delivery date?

Choose a personal check-back date, such as June 30 before Q3, and use a delivery reminder to revisit the seller’s updates. Note that this is your own checkpoint, not a promised shipping date. If there is no new information, choose another check-back date. DuePair does not fetch seller announcements.

09Can I track a preorder after I have already paid in full?

Yes. Once the full payment is complete, keep the order in Awaiting Delivery and set a reminder to check progress. Keep the seller’s link and original estimate with the order. Paying in full does not mean the item has arrived, and an unpaid full-price order should not be marked as paid.

Privacy & pricing

10Does it need an account? Where is my data stored?

No account or sign-in. Tracking items, drafts, images and reminders stay on device; when system iCloud is enabled, they sync through your private iCloud database.

11Is there a private, offline app to track what I've bought?

Yes. DuePair is local-first and offline, needs no account, and blurs amounts by default.

12Is it a subscription?

No — a one-time purchase. Free tracks up to 6 active items; Pro removes the 6-active-item cap and unlocks advanced reminders. Basic reminders and iCloud sync aren't paywalled.
